The organizational meeting of the Long Point Bay Sailing Club on March 2,1975 brought many oldFriends together. There was much to be done. The club will have three dimensions social, cruising, and Racing. The slate of officers and committee chairman is as follows

The membership considerations, dues, activities and club name were agreed upon. A burgee competition was initiated. Jim Pepper will announce the winner at the next meeting. The L.P.B.S.C. April 6th Meeting had thirty concerned people out. A clear, well-worded Constitution was accepted. Many Thanks to all involved. A burgee (designed by Cam MacDougall) was selected and forty were ordered. The price is approximately $6.50 each.

The Long Point Bay Sailing Club Burgee is very representative of the club location. The blue represents The Inner and Outer Waters of Long Point Bay. The Green signifies the opposing Points of Pottohawk Point and Turkey Point.
