2019 Sail Past - The Tradition Continues

The Sail Past Tradition began almost 200 years ago in England!! Steeped in more than 600 years of Royal Navy tradition and history, the actual "review of the fleet" was introduced in Yacht clubs as a continuation of the naval habit of having Admirals (and/or Royalty) review the fleet on special occasions.

We aren't that formal and we don't have an Admiral but a Commodore, yet we try to maintain the tradition.

This year, we were greeted with a beautiful morning for our lovely formation of parade boats.

I would like to thank all those who participated in the 2019 Annual Sail Past.

I hope you all enjoyed being part of the ceremony and I greatly appreciated the recognition of my role as Commodore in the spirit of our club.
